Electromechanical Kraftformer Eckold KF 324

Electromechanical Kraftformer Eckold KF 324

Eckold Kraftformer KF 324 is a powerful yet compact stationary forming machine with an electric drive. Known as the “Piccolo,” it is the most affordable motorized machine in the Kraftformer series. The KF 324 is designed for a wide range of cold deformation operations on sheet metal up to 2.0 mm thick (steel). Its primary difference from pneumatic models (like the KF 170 PD) lies in its electromechanical drive and the presence of a handwheel for precise control of the forming force.

  • Purpose: Shrinking, stretching, curve forming, planishing, doming, leveling, as well as punching and notching.

  • Field of Application: Body shops, vintage car and motorcycle restoration, aerospace (prototypes and repair), metal furniture production, and high-precision forming work.

  • Class: Motorized universal forming machine of medium power.

Advantages and Features

  • Precise Force Control (Handwheel Control): A key advantage of the KF 324 is the handwheel located at the top of the machine. It allows the operator to very precisely pre-set and monitor the pressing force, ensuring high repeatability and sensitivity when working with critical parts.

  • High Working Speed: The electric drive provides a high stroke frequency—approximately 400 strokes per minute, significantly increasing productivity during long forming sessions.

  • Optimal Working Space:

    • Horizontal Reach: 340 mm allows for working with medium-sized parts, providing a good compromise between compactness and functionality.

    • Vertical Height: 245 mm guarantees sufficient space for voluminous workpieces.

  • Universal "All-rounder": Thanks to the vast range of Eckold tools, the KF 324 is a true "all-rounder," capable of performing almost all cold forming operations available on a Kraftformer.

  • Ergonomics and Adjustment:

    • Ram Adjustment: A 32 mm adjustment range to compensate for different tool heights and select the optimal working position.

    • Tilting Head: Some models may feature a head that tilts from , providing additional comfort and ergonomics when working at awkward angles.

  • Reliability and Durability: This model is renowned for its robust construction and ability to operate flawlessly for many decades.

Standard Equipment

  • KF 324 Machine: Massive stationary frame with an electromechanical drive.

  • Handwheel: For precise force adjustment and ram positioning.

  • Electric Motor: Powerful 3-phase motor.

  • Stand/Cabinet: Reliable floor stand, often with integrated lockable doors for tool storage.

  • Quick-Change Tool System: Standard mount for rapid replacement of Kraftformer tools.

Options

  • Full Tool Set: For shrinking, stretching, doming, leveling, punching, and notching.

  • Specialized "No-Mar" Tools: Featuring inserts made of soft materials for working with sensitive surfaces.

  • Optional Foot Pedal: For managing the work cycle.
