Boschert CU WK II is a specialized coordinate punching complex for highly efficient processing of copper busbars/pressing strips (busbar / copper bar). The machine is designed as a configurable platform for individual customer requirements: different feed lengths, number and types of tools, automatic loading and sorting systems. CU WK II allows for waste-free cutting and punching of buses with a width of tens to hundreds of millimeters, making contours, cuts, threading operations and marking – all in one well-developed cycle.
Features and Advantages• Designed specifically for copper busbars. The machine is engineered considering the physical properties of copper: dual-side feeding and clamping ensure minimal deformation during processing and reduce material waste.• Modular tool configuration. The CU WK II is equipped with 5 (opt. 6) working stations; two of them can be fitted with multi-tools, allowing up to 25 (31) individual tools depending on configuration — providing large tool capacity for production with diverse hole patterns.• Combined drive/head setup for different operations. Stations can be equipped with drives of different capacities; typical CU WK II configurations include mixed electro-hydraulic forces: 2 × 400 kN + 3 × 280 kN (depending on version). This allows a combination of high-power units for heavy operations and high-speed ones for fine punching.• Integrated part discharge and sorting system. Finished parts are automatically transferred to an unloading table; optional sorting trays and automated scrap removal are available — minimizing operator involvement and improving production efficiency.• Automatic loading systems. Two types of loaders are supported: pneumatic suction loader or chain loader. Additionally, a Push-Pull mode enables processing of pre-cut bars with zero waste.• Control and integration. 10.5″ TFT touch controller with USB/LAN interfaces and graphical/conversion software for fast DXF import and program generation — ensuring intuitive operation and remote support.
Standard Equipment• Welded steel frame and modular structure with adjustable clamps (1–3 clamps depending on busbar width).• Controller with 10.5″ TFT display, USB and LAN; ergonomic mobile control panel with dual palm buttons, “tool change position” key, and emergency stop.• Standard configuration with 5 tool stations (6th optional); possibility of installing two multi-tools (4-/6-station) expanding total tool capacity to 25–31 tools on CU WK II configuration.• Parting/cutting stations for 80 × 8 mm or 50 × 10 mm (depending on version).
Options and Additional Modules• Chain loader or suction loader for automatic busbar feeding.• Push-Pull mode — for working with pre-cut bars (enables zero-waste production).• Additional tapping unit as a separate sixth module.• 4- or 6-station multi-tools — for configurations requiring a large number of small holes.• Sorting station / trays for automated collection of small parts.• Labeling unit — for product marking or identification.
