TruLaser Cell 3000 is a compact, high-precision 5-axis fiber laser system from TRUMPF, designed for multi-functional processing: 2D/3D cutting, laser welding, and Laser Metal Deposition (LMD). The machine is suitable for both single prototypes and high-volume serial production with a high level of automation. Its strength lies in its versatility: quick replacement of process adapters allows for combining different processes on one machine.

Versatile 5-Axis Mechanism Enables cutting and welding in two and three dimensions (complex geometry parts, angled holes, bevels). This allows one system to replace several machines and reduces the number of retooling operations.
Unique Optical System with Automatic Focus Adjustment No need to change optics when switching between modes (deep welding, heat conduction welding, cutting thick/thin sheets, LMD): focus parameters are set via software. This accelerates changeover and increases technological flexibility.
Supports Laser Metal Deposition (LMD) The TruLaser Cell 3000 is compatible with the powder deposition mode for part repair or buildup; it can be used for repairing worn components and for additive manufacturing of elements.
High Power Density for Deep Welding The machine is capable of operating in deep-welding mode with very high power density (approx. ), resulting in a small heat-affected zone and minimal distortion. This is important for high-quality joints and thin-walled components.
Batch Production Readiness & Automation Support for two-station operation with a rotary table allows for simultaneous preparation/loading of blanks and processing of others, optimizing the cycle. Integration with external robots and conveyor systems is possible.
High Positioning Accuracy and Measurement System Built-in measurement and calibration tools ensure repeatability and precise alignment of technological operations (important for small high-precision parts and for LMD).
