The clamping inserts for the HX 12P, HX 16P, and HX 25P series are designed for use with the corresponding closed orbital weld heads (HX 12P, HX 16P, and HX 25P). They are made of stainless steel and are used for precise and reliable clamping of the pipe with the required Outer Diameter (Tube OD) before welding begins. Each pipe diameter requires a separate insert (or set of inserts)—typically 2 inserts per diameter.
1. HX 12P Clamping Inserts
Description
Series: HX 12P.
Material: Stainless steel.
Properties: Designed for pipes with an Outer Diameter ranging from approximately 9.50 mm to 13.30 mm (0.374′′−0.524′′).
Each insert is used in pairs (2 pcs) for a single diameter.
Application
Ideal for confined spatial conditions, such as heat exchanger sections or tube bundles.
Allow the orbital head to be used in densely packed piping systems.
2. HX 16P Clamping Inserts
Series: HX 16P.
Tube Outer Diameter (Tube OD) Range: — for example: 12.70 mm / 0.500′′; 13.30 mm / 0.524′′; 15.00 mm / 0.591′′; up to 16.60 mm / 0.654′′.
As in other series—a pair of inserts is required for one diameter.
An intermediate option between the 12P and 25P series—suitable when the pipe diameter is larger than the HX 12P type but has not yet reached the maximum range of the HX 25P.
Well-suited for installations with moderate compactness but with larger pipe diameters.
3. HX 25P Clamping Inserts
Series: HX 25P.
Tube Outer Diameter Range: — from 20.00 mm to 25.40 mm.
A pair of inserts is also mandatory for one diameter.
For pipes with large outer diameters within the specified range.
Suitable for applications with less confined space where larger diameter pipes need to be clamped.
