RAS Multibend-Center 79.26-2 ECO: Automated Folding Center

RAS Multibend-Center 79.26-2 ECO: Automated Folding Center

RAS Multibend-Center 79.26-2 ECO is an accessible solution within the RAS automated folding center line, designed for manufacturers aiming to implement automatic panel and box folding with minimal capital investment, yet without compromising on core functionalities. The ECO model provides essential automation, stability, accuracy, and repeatability, but with certain simplifications or optimizations that reduce the price and streamline the configuration. It is ideal for small-to-medium volume series production where quality is critical, but the premium “ultra-thick” features of higher-tier models are not strictly required.

Features and Advantages
  • Cost Optimization: The ECO version is designed as an "entry-level" solution, including all necessities for an automatic center, but without superfluity, thus reducing complexity and cost.

  • Automated Positioning and Bending Processes: The Magic-Eye scanner measures the blank, the manipulator performs turning and positioning, and automatic tool preparation is included.

  • Up/Down Bending: The capability to bend both upwards and downwards simplifies the processing of counter-flanges and parts without the need to flip the blank manually.

  • High Bend Quality with Minimal Tool Wear: Uses technology and tooling that facilitate "scratch-free bending", resulting in high-quality surface finishes.

  • Relatively Small Footprint and Space Saving: The ECO machine versions are optimized to occupy less floor space.

Standard Equipment / Core Functions
Component What is Included
Loading / Positioning System Table with suction cups for manual blank loading; Magic-Eye scanner for optical sheet measurement before bending; manipulator that positions and rotates the blank.
Bending System Up/Down bending operations; standard tools for the upper beam, bending beam, and lower beam; Roto-foot corner tool for bending internal/external flanges.
Tool Changer Automatic tool setup (tool changer) for the upper beam.
Control / Software CellControl Office for manual sequence programming; "one-click" interface for bending program usage; job list support.
Operator Support Return of finished parts to the operator; Roto-foot tool; suction cups; equipment for manual loading and unloading.
Integration Capabilities and Options
  • Bendex Package: Automatic bending sequence programming, ranking of alternative bending sequences, 3D simulations.

  • Reinforced Tools: For processing thinner steel or for parts with higher stability requirements.

  • Beam Crowning (Manual): For compensating deflection of the bending beam when processing long sheets.

  • UpDownTools: For interrupted bend lines (when the bend does not run the entire length of the sheet).

  • Tab Tools: For flanges or elements featuring tabs or cutouts (welding tabs and similar features).
