Modularity and Configurations

The foundation of the MF 500 is a robust C-frame with a generous working space. Depending on the installed module, the machine can take on three primary configurations:

Key Module Features:

• Wheeling: Used for producing large, smooth curved surfaces by rolling the metal between the upper and lower rolls.

• Planishing: Utilizes high-frequency impacts from the pneumatic hammer to eliminate imperfections and smooth the surface after rotary stretching or manual forming.

• Shrinking/Stretching: Allows for shrinking or stretching the edges of sheet metal to create internal or external curves using the integrated HF 100 tool.

Design and Operation Features

• Quick Tool Change: The modular design allows for easy and rapid reconfiguration of the machine for different tasks (e.g., switching from wheeling to planishing).

• Ergonomics: Thoughtful design for comfortable operation by both right- and left-handed users.

• Minimal Space Requirement: By combining several functions into one C-frame, the MF 500 is an excellent solution for small workshops.

• Pressure Adjustment: Pressure of the rolls or tools is adjusted via a handwheel and a quick-action clamp.

• Additional Equipment: Integration of other Eckold tools, such as the manual Handformer HF 100 or the GL 2 pneumatic hammer, is seamless.
