Spiro Lockforming Machine 16S Gauge is a powerful lockforming machine developed by Spiro International S.A. (Switzerland) for working with thick sheet metal. The main function of the machine is the formation of the Pittsburgh Lock seam, which is the most common mechanical connection in the production of rectangular ducts and fittings.
Purpose: Forming longitudinal seams on straight and curved parts.
Gauge: Optimized for working with material up to 1.6 mm (16 gauge).
Design: The machine is designed as a reliable, industrial machine to ensure a tight and airtight seam.
Pittsburgh Rollers: A set of inner and outer profiling rollers for the 16 gauge lock.
Compensation Mechanism: A calibrated disc or similar system for adjusting the width of the lock pocket depending on the metal thickness.
Rigid Housing: Robust welded steel frame and industrial motor for long-term operation.
Drive Rollers: Hardened and ground rollers mounted on high-precision needle bearings.
Auxiliary Roller Sets: Although the machine is optimized for Pittsburgh, additional profiling sets can be installed on the auxiliary station for:
Right Angle Flange (Beading/Flanging).
Standing Seam.
Drive Cleat.
Double Seam (Acme Seam).
Spiro Lockforming Machine 18S Button Punch: A separate (or optional) version of the machine for the production of Snaplock (seam with button punch), designed for lighter gauge (0.5 – 1.2 mm) and equipped with 9 stations.
